W. Barry Bryant, President
Mr. Bryant graduated from Virginia Tech in 1970 with a B. S. in Civil Engineering. He has over thirty years of experience in the transportation construction industry, beginning his career in 1971 as a Field Engineer with McDowall & Wood, Inc. and advancing to Vice President where he was responsible for construction management. Since founding Bryant Contracting, Inc. in 1984, he has evolved the company from it's original focus on bridge repairs and incidental concrete construction to major highway structures throughout Central and Eastern Virginia. Mr. Bryant has served our industry as President of the Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association in 2000, as a member and chairperson of the VDOT-VRTBA Bridge and Structures Subcommittee for 20 years, and as a member of the American Road and Transportation Builder's Association Board of Directors since 2000.

Carlos L. Secrist, Vice President
Since 1986, Mr. Secrist has served Bryant Contracting, Inc. in the following capacities: Bridge Superintendent, Project Manager, and Vice President of Operations. During his tenure, he has helped the company achieve recognition for quality work and on-time project delivery. With over thirty years of heavy/highway construction experience, he has actively represented the industry on committees and at conferences of the Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association.

Douglas W. Jackson, CPC, Construction Manager
Since 1998, Mr. Jackson has been responsible for managing Bryant Contracting, Inc's construction services from estimating through project completion. He has over 15 years of transportation construction industry experience including bridge design, construction estimating, CPM scheduling, project management, contract administration, and asset management. In 2000, he was selected to attend the Young Executive Development Program of the American Road and Transportation Builders Association. Mr. Jackson serves on the Construction, Maintenance and Methods subcommittee of the Virginia Road and Transportation Builders Association. A Certified Professional Constructor, he is a graduate of Virginia Tech.

Alan P. Smith, CPA, Controller
Since joining our organization in 1988, Mr. Smith has managed financial matters, employment benefits and policies, insurance, bonding, contracts, and regulatory compliance. A Certified Public Accountant, he is a graduate of Wake Forest University.
